Digital Camera – A camera that captures and stores still images as digital data instead of on photographic film.
Lens– This brings light from the scene into focus inside the camera so that it can expose an image
Shutter – This is a device that can be opened or closed to control the length of time the light enters
Scanner - A device that optically scans images, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image.

Digital Imaging– Scanning or otherwise capturing images which may be then edited, filed, displayed or printed
Resolution– This refers to the sharpness and clearness of an image
Pixels – These are the coloured dots that make up a digital image
Hue– Hue is another name for colour. When an image’s hue is adjusted, the base colour of that image changes.

Saturation – The image’s saturation refers to the intensity of its colours.
Filters – Applying a filter allows you to change the way a picture looks. You can apply filters to make an image look brighter, redder or fuzzier.

Feathering – This creates a soft edged border around an image which blends into the background
Gradient – The gradient tool creates a gradual blend between multiple colours
