Lisnagarvey High School

All pupils are welcome to come to Lisnagarveys Athletics Club. It is held on a Monday and Thursday from 3.25pm-4.45pm during the summer term. Pupils can come to gain skill and experience in their chosen events.

The school has a sports day and perhaps an athlete wants to practice for this. Some pupils who show ability are entered for competitions, such as the area championships at the Antrim forum. In recent years we have been very fortunate, not only to have pupils go through to the Northern Ireland Schools Athletics finals, but also then on to represent Lisnagarvey in the All Ireland Athletics finals.

The school also enter a team into a Year 9 Athletics competition against all the schools in our area which is held at Friends. To finish the 2010 season Lisnagarvey plans to host a multi school sports event

From the end of March to the end of June we have an Athletics Club twice a week.

Every Monday and Thursday 3-25pm to 4-45pm

All pupils are welcome.

The pupils can prepare for Sports Day.

Train for the year 9 athletics event against all the schools in the area.

Try out for the school team that goes to the South Eastern area final at the Antrim Forum in May.

Work on their own personal fitness.
