Lisnagarvey High School

Hockey is a new sporting activity introduced in Lisnagarvey this year which takes place on a Wednesday from 3.30-4.45pm.

Hockey will be open to all girls from year 8 right through to year 14 and it will be taken by Miss A Johnston.  Girls are asked to wear their PE kit but black tracksuit bottoms are permitted in colder weather. 

Participation in sports like hockey will improve physical fitness, co-ordination, self-discipline and it will also teach pupils about teamwork.

Practice will include a warm-up, practice drills to help improve player’s techniques and skill level, team tactics, fun games and finally finish with a practice match.

As player’s skills and techniques improve, matches will be arranged against local schools where we will be able to put our good practice into action.
