Description of Unit: Throughout this unit pupils will gain an understanding of what history is, why it is relevant and useful and how they each play a part in making history. Pupils will not only be able to develop their skills of inquiry but will also explore their own historic journeys and how they have shaped them as individuals.

Description of Unit: Throughout this unit pupils willgain an understanding of what the Holocaust was, why Jews were persecuted, who made the Holocaust happen and why it is important that they study the Holocaust. Pupils will develop their skills of enquiry and their ethical awareness.

Description of Unit: Throughout this unit pupils will gain an understanding of the Battle of Hastings, considering why the Normans were victorious. Pupils will have an opportunity to look at the changes the Normans made including Normans Castles. They will become familiar with the Feudal System put in place and the Domesday Book.
